The banner exchange is very simply, as described above, a trading post
which benefits everyone involved. I'm going to use the example of two web sites
(Site A and Site B) to show exactly what the banner exchange can do for your
traffic. For this example, let's assume both sites A and B are receiving a
small amount of hits a day, say 20.
Day 1 :
The owner of Site A,
visits the Banner Exchange and scoffs at the idea of giving other people the
chance to get a banner on his site (this is the same type of person who puts his
money in his mattress so the bank can't loan it to others and pay him much
needed interest on it).
The owner of Site B, being the smart Internet marketer he is,
also visits the banner exchange -- AND JOINS! He then places the code for the
banner exchange on the page which is getting the 20 hits a day (normally the
first page people see when visiting or the default)
Day 2 :Back to our good
friend, the owner of Site A. He's checking his stats and sees that again today
he's only had 20 hits! "MALARKEY" he shouts in disgust, and off he goes to
watch TV.
The owner of Site B, checks his stats as well and sees he too
has received 20 hits today. But he isn't done, he also goes back to the banner
exchange and sees that his banner will be shown 10 times on the THOUSANDS of
other sites in the exchange. "EUREKA!" he exclaims. It's only been ONE DAY,
and already he is receiving FREE advertising for his site. Advertising that our
good friend the penny-pincher with Site A isn't receiving.
Fast-Forward -- Day 30 :Site
A, and it's now infamous 20 hits a day, has decided this Internet thing is a
hoax! I've put up a web site, but hardly anyone visits - or in the owner's
words, "There is no way 60 million people are on the Internet with more coming
every day, they certainly aren't coming to my site and taking advantage of the
best offer in the world!!"
Ahhh, but the smart-cookie owner of Site B has other things to
say about the wonders of the Internet. Why, only 30 days ago he was receiving
20 hits a day. But by joining the banner exchange, those 20 hits turned into 10
banner impressions on THOUSANDS of other web sites worldwide for FREE! The next
20 hits, became 10 more, and so on. He even went to a professional banner
designer and paid $200 to get a banner that would entice anyone seeing it to
click on it! Looking back, he knows his site could still be receiving a tiny 20
hits a day, but things are much different today! He is now receiving 40 hits a
day (double his traffic only 30 days ago), with each hit not only being a
prospective sale but also 1/2 a credit toward his banner showing up on yet
another site on the Internet for FREE!!
Conclusion :This example is
obviously assuming the only advertising done for Site B was joining a banner
exchange. You, being the wise marketer you are, are definitely going to do
more. You may even purchase guaranteed banner exposures on the banner exchange
to get your traffic higher much faster (you can get the details on this by
clicking here).
After reading the above example, and knowing your current
traffic, don't you think it would be a good idea to put this traffic to use
getting you banner exposures on THOUSANDS of web sites worldwide for FREE? If
not, just think about what's going to happen to the owner of Site B in 6 months
as his traffic continues doubling.
if you still aren't joining, I definitely want to hear your
reasoning -- Send it to me and we can discuss it!
