Technology for solving crimes. Now for many years we have seen the traditional method of the stereotype detective solving crimes and mysteries. However is it possible that technology could help to finding even more clues to mysteries, or potentially even solve crimes? The answer to that question would be yes.
Now augmented vision has been a topic which I have discussed I quite often, because it is technology which can benefit everyone. In this case it is the police. The police have a device which has a similar style of Google Glass, this is a concept which I believe could help them if they utilise the technology. What essentially this technology does is it allows the police officer to scan a number plate on vehicle, to see whether or not it matches up, to another vehicle, therefore this can help them to find a stolen vehicle.
What other features does it have? Well this particular device has night vision, so if someone runs into a dark ally or somewhere like that, then a police officer is able to see, using the night vision.
In addition to that it have infrared as well, so the police can identify the location of the criminal. Nevertheless as this is still a concept, I do believe their improvement which could be made to this. For example the design of it could be changed, because realistically if you are using night vision or infrared, you will only be able to see it with one eye which is not good. Also it can be very distracting to wear the device, especially if you are in a high speed chase, or you are trying to talk to someone. What hopefully the future of policing could bring is something like this as well.
I know this is Batman Arkman City, however if the police were able to implement this sort of technology in future, then crimes and mysteries could be solved a lot quicker, as it analyses the crime scene. This technology sort of already exists with laser crime scene scanners, which recreate a crime scene, however it is not advanced like this. Even though this is a video game, it does have some good concepts for the future. Henceforth this sort of technology is definitely something for the future, as it will allow police officers and detective to analyse a crime scene and help them when chasing after criminals.
